Its main purpose is to help those who may be in doubt as to the age of an old Chubb Lock or Safe, bearing a serial number.
With the discovery of documents confirming that some sequences of lock serial numbers were duplicated, the original content has been updated. Additional material has been added and I hope you will find it interesting.
Dates can also be given for safes made by Hobbs Hart, Milner, Chatwood and Chatwood Milner.
