Charles Chubb (1773 - 1846)
Founder of the company.

Interesting facts: In 1828 Charles joined The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers.

His son John obtained the Freedom of the SMC in 1843 and in due course his son, John Charles, continued the association by becoming Free by Patrimony in 1886  
John Chubb - b.1815 (Son & Partner) took over when his father died. He became a Partner before 1838 since the Horseley Fields Factory bore the name 'Chubb and Son'. John died in 1872 and was succeeded by his sons, John Charles, George Hayter (b1848) and Harry Withers, as sole partners.
In 1882, the business was purchased from the late John Chubb’s trustees and formed into a Limited Company under the chairmanship of George Hayter Chubb. His brothers John Charles and Harry Withers became Directors.
George was Knighted in 1885 and made a Baronet (the 1st Lord Hayter) in 1900. In 1909 he was made a Freeman of the Borough of Wolverhampton. At one time Chairman and M.D. he resigned the Chair in 1938 but remained M.D. until his death in 1946 aged 98.
Charles Archibald, son and heir, took over as M.D. and Harry Emory Chubb (nephew of George) became the Chairman. Harry had joined the Company in 1901 and between the two World Wars, was mainly responsible for developing the Chubb export markets. He retired in 1957.
George Charles Hayter Chubb (1911 - 2003), joined the Company in 1931 and was appointed M.D. ten years later. He became Chairman in 1957 and retired in 1981.

George William(Bill) Michael Chubb (b.1942) joined the Company in 1967 as assistant to the Managing Director of Chubb Australia. After six months in Sydney he returned to Wolverhampton. Over the next four years he worked with various departments including Production Control and Chubb Research before his appointment as Managing Director of Chubb Malaysia/Chubb Singapore in 1972.

1979 - 1982 saw him back in Sydney, this time as M.D. Chubb Australia before a return to the Chubb Group Head Office in Feltham, Middlesex as Director of Business Development, Physical Security.
He left Racal - Chubb in 1988.
